Le système MA se compose d'une antenne qui transmet le son et d'un poste de radio ou d'un récepteur spécial. L'antenne transmet le son à une fréquence de diffusion MA. Le poste de radio MA ou le récepteur spécial capte le signal MA et le transforme en son pour celui qui l'écoute. On installe souvent ce genre de système dans les cinémas et dans les ciné-parcs.
